The Lord has blessed me in being able to return to Africa. Jeffrey’s Bay to be more specific. I will be going back to help lead the Awakening (AIM’s First Year Missionary program). I will have the responsibility of an RA. Which means I will do grocery shopping, cooking, and whatever else needs to be done. Along with that I will have a couple girls that I will disciple throughout the year.
“As part of The Awakening, one will undergo a discipleship program like
no other, experiencing four months of intense training in another
country to prepare for the ministry that awaits for the rest of
the year. Mornings will be spent in training and the afternoons
ministering in local communities, activating what has been learned. In
the context of experiential learning, one will be discipled by mentors
who want to see them grow deeply in their faith. They will be part of a community of other individuals who share their
passion and desire to come alive in Christ.”
As part of my job in the office I am the location Rep for the Africa Awakening team. Which means that I answer their questions and help them get ready. So with that I have gotten to know quite a few of them pretty well. I am really excited that the Lord has opened the door for me to watch these guys go to Africa and get their worlds rocked by him. I feel very privileged to be a part of that. Also two of my teammates from this year, Em and Ashley King, will also be over there. Em is going to be an RA with me. She has been my roommate this year and we have grown close and built a pretty strong relationship. I am excited that we are going to be serving together again. For that I am blessed. King is going to be one of the FYMers. She has grown so much this year. I know that the Lord has big things planned for her. I am so excited to get to serve another year with her.
This is all so exciting. But this also means that I will be Support Raising again. For this next year I will need to raise my airfare plus personal expenses. This comes to about $4000. I ask you to partner with me and change lives in Africa by supporting me. If you click the Bless me! link on the left that will take you to page where you can donate online. I thank you for all of your support so far in this journey that the Lord is taking me on. There are many lives that have been changed and saved because of you guys. Especially me. So again THANK YOU.
