Yesterday I was able to partake in something amazing. It was a day that changed mindsets. My church just finished a series on racism. To know some background, the small town that I live in is primarily while with a couple minority families thrown it. Well yesterday was the final day of the teaching and we finished it off with a potluck with a black church from the neighboring town. It was an amazing time of fellowship and the starting of new friendships. In the morning service prior to the potluck pastor preached out of Colossians 2 and 3. About how we should be in the Lords Domain, his territory but most of the time we aren’t. How if we are then we would think like him and then we would see everyone the same, as people bought with the blood of Christ. Something broke in worship and I am convinced that many people were freed of the racism spirit. At the potluck it was amazing to see the two churches, so different yet so similar, eating and having a great time. After dinner we worshiped together and it was sweet. Their children’s choir sang and the Lord was present. I praise God that yesterday happened, that people were freed and that we found brothers and sisters in Christ. I also praise him for those kids who are blessings to everyone they meet and my prayer for them is that they continue to sing and praise Him who is incredible.
