I once again, I am heading out on a mission trip. You are probably wondering
where and
when,
how and
why. The last is easy to answer. I LOVE missions. I always have. I believe that is why I was made. These last two years in Culinary School has solidified that in me.
Each day I ache to get back on the field. I want to love those who don’t
know what love is and I want to teach those who don’t know how. This life isn’t for everyone and I am honored for Christ to have called me to it.
Where. I will be heading back to Africa. This time Uganda. Uganda is a landlocked country in East Africa. It is bordered on the East by Kenya, on the North by Sudan, on the West by the Dominican Republic of the Congo, on the Southwest by Rwanda, and on the South by Tanzania.
So in the
middle of June 2011, I will be traveling to Uganda as a one of three leaders of an Ambassador team with Adventures In Missions. Ambassador teams are teams of High School aged students who are spending some of their summer break to do the Lord’s work and get a taste of missions. While in Uganda, we will be working with Helping Hands Ministry. The team will be ministering in a school for
orphans, where they will
provide friendship,
Bible studies, and
education to the children.
I am excited not only to minister to the orphans and children of Uganda but to lead the team and teach them what Community, Love and Faith looks like.
Please let me know if you are interested in a support letter. I am very excited about this trip and the opportunity to get back out on the field especially to Africa.
